The 154 Kenyo Taboos
Khonoma follows 154 traditional taboos (Kenyo) that govern social conduct, environmental protection, and moral behavior. These rules have kept the village disciplined and united for generations.
Hunting and Logging are Banned
The villagers have strictly prohibited hunting and cutting down forests for decades. Wildlife thrives here, and the forests remain untouched, making it an ecological paradise.
